International Curriculum

The main curriculum at Labuan International School is the British Curriculum. At Year 10, students embark on the IGCSE course, culminating in the Cambridge International Examinations, which is based in the United Kingdom. the School is also regularly offering Cambridge Checkpoint Examination to Lower Secondary Students in every academic years.

* The medium of instruction is English for all subjects except Malay as Foreign Language and Mandarin.

National Curriculum

The main curriculum is KSSM (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah). the School complies with the National Curriculum. Students are prepared for the Penilaian Tingkatan Tiga (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) at Secondary Level. The KSSM (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah) started in Form 1 2012 where school-based assessment throughout the year form a basis of academic performance report for each student. Medium of Instruction for Mathematics and Science is English. The School is offering Cambridge Checkpoint examination (Mathematics, Science and English) to potential National Lower Secondary Students starting in 2014. in 2016, cambridge IGCSE ICT is also introduced in the National Curriculum.
